Upper-Intermediate to Advanced: this course is for students whose current level is assessed at upper-intermediate equivalent to IELTS 5.5.

Good Upper-Intermediate level of English (equivalent to IELTS 5.5)

Excel College aims to keep class sizes small to maximise individual attention from teachers. Maximum number of students – 22.

An overview of the Healthcare system in the UK (NHS and private care); Medical vocabulary (anatomy, diseases, equipment, therapies, etc.);Colloquial vocabulary (medical slang, idioms, expressions, etc.);Practising the 4 main skills of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing; Information on finding a job in the healthcare industry;Lists of useful books, magazines, websites, professional organisations, etc.

The course is intended for all medical staff (nurses, doctors, dentists, etc.) and medical graduates to help them improve their knowledge of real medical English used in clinics, hospitals, and care homes in the UK.

In-house materials will be handed out during the course.

Exam fees for external exams are not included. They are set by the relevant examining body.
