We will help students find accommodation. There are hundreds of easy-to-find private halls, rooms in shared houses and self-contained flats in walking distance of the college. Many of these can be located on the internet and through local agencies.

Private Halls of Residence

All of the private accommodation conforms to strict UK Health and Safety, and environmental regulations and most are within the budget of typical students.

What does your accommodation look like?

Most students choose to live in shared flats, commonly with 3-6 friends with individual bedrooms and study areas. All the recommended and approved premises have kitchen and cooking facilities and offer some degree of privacy as well as places to meet friends, eat together and watch television. Most have shared bathroom and toilet facilities, and some have extra luxuries such as individual shower and toilet, and sometimes low-cost access to the internet and land-line telephones.

How much does a room in private halls of residence cost?

On average, a shared room rents out at £60-90 per student per week. The price varies from hall to hall, depending on the size of your room, facilities available and if there is a toilet and shower ensuite. A great advantage is that you don't need to pay utility (water and electricity) bills, as they are included in your rent.

How could we help you with booking a room?

Once you tell us your accommodation requirements, we can make introductions to landlords on your behalf and provide further information. We can also help you put a deposit to secure your place.

Rooms in a shared house

This type of accommodation is very popular among students since it provides wonderful opportunities to meet people from all over the world. You will enjoy the freedom living in a typical British house with a back garden.

How much does a room in a shared house cost?

The cost ranges from 30 to 70 £ per week. You may need to pay for water, electricity and gas bills, which are around 10 £ per week.

Students with families

If you are thinking of bringing your family, you may need to secure suitable accommodation at a price you can afford.

A self-contained flat is the best option for a couple without children. This type of accommodation usually contains a bedroom, a small kitchen, and a shower room with toilet facility. The price ranges from 70 to 150 £ per week.
