| Applying for a student Visa |
| |
In order to make an application for a student Visa you first need to be accepted on a full time course by the college. To enrol, simply pay a deposit, and fill in an application form. We will then give you an acceptance letter which you can show to the Home Office to obtain a student visa.
On receiving the acceptance letter, you can now apply for a student Visa at your local British High Commission. You must show that
you are able to pay for your course and support yourself, live in the UK without working or needing any help from public funds, and
intend to leave the UK when you complete your studies. |

Working on a student Visa
You can take part-time or holiday work, but you must not:
- work for no more than 20 hours a week during term time unless your placement is part of your studies, has been agreed with your educational institution and leads to a degree or qualification awarded by a nationally recognised examining body
- do business, be self-employed or provide services as a professional sportsperson or entertainer
- work full-time in a permanent job.
